Student Organizations
During my time at IU Indianapolis, I have been actively involved in student organizations that support healthcare career development, mentorship, leadership, and representation in STEM. These experiences helped me build confidence as a student leader while contributing to campus communities that support students academically and professionally.
My involvement in student organizations included:
-
Serving in multiple leadership roles with the Pre-Medical Club at IU Indianapolis, including Reservationist, Vice President, President, and current Mentor.
-
Planning educational events, mentorship activities, and community outreach opportunities for pre-medical and healthcare-focused students.
-
Collaborating with executive board members to create programming that supports students throughout their undergraduate and pre-professional journeys.
-
Serving as Treasurer for SACNAS at IU Indianapolis, where I support budgeting, expense tracking, funding allocations, and reimbursement processes.
-
Promoting inclusive excellence by supporting programming focused on mentorship, research exposure, professional development, and representation in STEM.
Through these organizations, I strengthened my leadership, event planning, communication, budgeting, and team collaboration skills. My involvement also helped me better understand how student-led organizations can create meaningful support systems, expand access to professional opportunities, and build community for students pursuing careers in healthcare, science, and leadership.
